I've tried to post a few times over the last couple of days, but they didn't seem to flow very well so I kept giving up. I hope this one is better!

I forget, every time I have holidays, just how much I love being at uni. This week has been all kinds of awesome, and I really hope it continues like this.

On Wednesday, I headed in for my one 9am class, and then to a hastily organised violin lesson. Both were pretty good, but I tell you what it felt so good to be home at like 1pm. I even did more practice, read some more of my book before heading off to work. I have so far proved myself right, I do work better when I go to uni early, then come home to study. Rather than having the luxury of sleeping in and then rushing to class and then staying up late studying and furthering the cycle.
On that note, didn't do any practice today but I'll use my breaks tomorrow.

Thursday I had the day completely off, and I am so looking forward to having that as my 'chill-out' day. I love the feeling that I can bum around until 4pm and then start working and that's totally fine. I also love being productive first, and then being able to talk on msn with people minus the guilt. *grins*

Today, in a word, was awesome. I had another 8am lecture that I was running a little late for, got a bit confused as to where the lecture theatre was, rushed in only to see that one of the cast member's from the show I went to in Adelaide was a little in front of me walking in, and had moved over so I could sit next to her. That made my morning at that point, and my bad mood vanished. I mean, we hadn't really even spoken - but they all adopted me as an honourary cast member. So sweet! She's lovely, and we spent the lecture laughing at the lecturer (he's great! and great fun) and grumbling about how making arts students get up this early is akin to torture. Good times.
I then worked out that [livejournal.com profile] thalia03  is not only in that same English subject with me, we also have the same tute! Which is brilliant. We've signed up to do the same class paper/presentation thingy, and so we can probably work together. Whee! The rest of the people in our tute are really friendly, and chatty, and not at all pretentious literature types. We were so thankful for that. The guy sitting next to me was so cute too, so y'know, that helped =P

Indonesian, as always, was so much fun. I'd redone the reading, so I understood a lot more this lesson, and we were talking about the different gender roles in Indonesian media, particularly in reference to a magazine aimed at men (much more conservative than the ones in the Western world, but a similar kind of idea). Especially concerning a married couple who both are important figures at this magazine. My quote of the day, of course, came from Bu Y. Ame jokingly decided to ask (in Indo, of course) 'who wears the pants in that relationship?'
Bu Y's response 'At home? No one'
Best part about it was that no one had really heard/understood what she said. We did, and lost the plot laughing. Completely. Luckily it was at the end of class - there was no way I'd have focussed on anything after that.

Oh and that reminds me! After class on Wednesday I was chatting with Bu Y about doing one of the overseas programs, and the different options I have. I mentioned something about an internship in Indonesia, and she told me that I could actually do one here - for example under the gamelan lecturer I had last year, as part of a higher level Indo unit. That idea hadn't even occurred to me, and I am most definitely considering it. It's a bit too perfect for me, really. So exciting to have a more concrete goal in my language studies.

I even got work done in my break. That's how good today was.

It's always the little things that make me so happy.

Like these. Just an assortment of the things that I've seen and loved over the past few days.

This made me laugh *so* hard. I could give him a run for his money, I think ;)

Awesome people are awesome.
Speaking of Chris Colfer being awesome, I often get so caught up in Darren Criss' interviews being insanely funny that I forget how sarcastic and hilarious his can be. The following are compilations of clips from his interviews, epic kudos to the person who put these together.
Even if you don't watch any of the others, go to 5:56 in the first one. His reaction to meeting Lady Gaga had me in absolute stitches.
'I don't know why but I bowed' XD

I can't embed the second one so here's a link.

Speaking of interview gold, I was in hysterics at this. I LOVE the fact that he doesn't give a flying fuck that he actually said that.

This cracked me up an insane amount too. ALSO WHY SO LITTLE AND ADORABLE?!

They're both such incredible dancers. *snorts*

Whatever it is, please, never stop.

There are no words.

Gratuitous picture of Dianna Agron (so pretty.. wow)

And some cute. I actually started making unintelligible noises when I saw these. Coming from such a non-cat person as myself, that's saying something.

Last week I had an epic quote battle with sine_animo, so these just made me laugh. I need to watch these movies again now.

More broccoli?

Look! Scum angel!

Prettyful <3

One last Disney shout out. Made me laugh harder than it should, as these always do.

I have two more videos for you now. I am utterly addicted to this song. Their voices blend so well together, and I'm really starting to get into Charlene Kaye's music. To give you an idea, I had this song on repeat basically all of yesterday. Which is kind of huge for me...

Lastly, this is a song I adore by Sara Bareilles. She's just released this video for it, and it's so cute. I love that it's so many random people, and that Josh Groban and Ben Folds are in it. WIN WIN WIN!

On that note, I am going to collapse into bed. I made this post twice, because lj is full of fail sometimes.

It's so awesome! I love that she's in it for like, 2 seconds at the end. Well, shots of her face anyway. XD

I think I also enjoyed getting school over and done with early and then getting to do whatever. It was a pain to have to go to only one class in the afternoon, boo!

What got you interested in Indonesian?

Oooh I want that dress she's wearing. She looks beautiful in it.

I don't typically like cats either but those were so cute!

It's good! Except I'm so exhausted when I have work all afternoon after being up at 6am XD

It was the required language at my old school in year 3, and I just gradually got more and more fascinated with the language and the culture.

So pretty <3

Hooray for good uni times! I'm starting to think Literature will be my favourite subject this semester :D And Indonesian never fails to amaze me with how awesome it sounds. xD

Aw man I love your pic-splosion! The first cat pic is totally my cat, except he's about 5 times bigger. And if I weren't biased, not as cute. BUT I AM, SO THERE >.>
The Chris running around in circles gif made me laugh so hard! I was trying to look for him in the crowd, and then my brain switched to see him and I completely lost it XD

I also giggled way too much at the Darren Criss interview gif. Oh my god. Darren Criss used humour! It was super effective! /shot/ :|

I love all my subjects so far - except ensemble. Because it is a pain to organise.

Isn't it just epic? Like, what is he even doing?!

The thing I love about both of them is they just don't care what they do on national television...
OMG LOL *dies
