'We touched the sky'
I am in a thoroughly good mood. A fairly odd occurrence on a Tuesday night.
The first thing that made me so happy is that I managed to do some practice on both viola and violin this morning, without being rushed, and despite the fact I slept for 2 hours longer than I meant to. String class was really interesting, we had this cellist from New York who specialises in Alexander Technique (more info here) and it was really interesting to watch her work with the cellists. As a side note, the first year cellists are amazing. I knew they were good, but I hadn't realised just how good. Kind of made me feel inadequate actually. It was also fairly amusing at times, Alexander Technique can be pretty weird. I want to have lessons myself, actually, but time/money/knowledge of who to go to is restricting.
Then, I got to Indo and realised that this week is the mid-semester revision week - so I have a bit of breathing space to catch up on all my work. PHEW.
I had the random composition class again, and it was pretty boring as usual - although I got roped into playing viola in this exercise in improvisation ... which only reminded me why I am a Classical player. It was Baroque improvisation, which I am determined to master at some stage - but damn it was hard not on my preferred instrument.
Then we had orchestra.
I CAN PLAY THE VIOLA!
Actually playing, not just faking most of it.
=D =D =D
I also have yummy chai from T2, and am making progress on my other assignments.
That's it for now, must make the most of this productive mood.

Epic!
Cellists are lovely people, but I pity them playing Canon in D.

re: Canon in D. YES. Such a beautiful instrument, and it only gets SIX notes :(( Theory! Pachebel(sp?) was dumped by a cellist so he spent his career writing the worst cello parts ever.

It is a really bad part...
LOL
Also, you only missed on 'l' :P

I can honestly say I have never had that used as a response to procrastination. I like it. I like it a lot.
