'We've got 4 minutes...'
So, I totally am not doing the same thing
pebblegosling just did. Nup.
Ok ok fine so I am. For anyone who likes Glee/Madonna go watch the video she just posted. NOW. Actually, scratch that. EVERYONE GO WATCH IT.
Chris Colfer = <3
Who the hell knew he could belt lower register? Not me. I've listened to that clip 4 times in a row now, and I don't even like the freaking song. That's how awesome he is.
So now that that's out of my system, I shall catch you all up on the life of Lauren. This past week has been utterly insane for me. I did post on Tuesday I think, but that was more of a 'need to vent about this or I'll explode' kind of post. So, in short - I had to redo an assignment that I'd spent a fair amount of time on, and then try to fit in practice, and other homework around that. Really not the best way to spend a week.
I've finally finished that assignment for the second time, and I'm pretty sure it's much better than the first one. Also, a major thankyou to M (Indo buddy) who offered to format it for me - or in her words 'make it pretty'. I kinda feel bad that she is doing that, but I'm going to help her out by reading hers through for grammar and such. XD
We're also very clever, in that we managed to guilt ourselves into studying tonight. In her words 'Every time I looked up you were still working, so I felt like I had to keep going' I cracked up when she said that, because I had been doing the exact same thing.
Alright so I'll backtrack a bit here, to Tuesday. Or my insane day at uni. I really didn't want to go, but it turned out to be pretty awesome. Indonesian was good, we watched a movie and just had a general discussion. The movie was impressive, considering none of us really understood much of the dialogue itself, but were still able to work enough about the plot to be groaning and cursing the main guy when he turned out to be a bastard XD
In string class, I played my new study and I thought it was utter crap. I was really overwhelmed by everything at that point, and that came through in my shakes and such. Or so I thought. Apparently, it sounded really good. So strange.
Anyway, after all this, and a boring Ethnomusicology lecture (which we abbreviate to 'Ethno' - just went to write that and worked out how dodgy it sounds XD) we had a pretty good orchestra rehearsal. I finally feel like I'm getting most of it now! It's amazing how these rehearsals are 3 hours, yet they fly by. As opposed to the ones in high school that seemed to drag on forever. Afterwards I went and grabbed some dinner with some of the girls from uni, part of our 'string group' as I refer to us. It was really good just to chill, as normally I feel like I don't see them at all because I'm forever running off to this class or that lecture.
Yesterday was just a randomly good day, I mean, as good as a day can be when I have 2 hours of Asian Studies. BUT I came out of that class smiling because I was so happy with my mark for my first assignment. It's nice to know my essay skills haven't disappeared.
And today - well I slept in, went to Indonesian, had a physio appointment, and then studied with M. Pretty boring, but just a good change of pace from the past few.
That's all folks!Yeah, I'm awesome

PS The song that I'm listening to (ie mentioned above) is pure crack. That album has become one of my favourite 'happy' albums of late. It's what's kept mereasonably sane this week.

Now, I am sleepy, so that is as much of a comment as you are getting. But I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.
