'This time not for you, but just for me'
It's been a weird couple of days.
The last time I posted I was waiting for Glee to download, and I ended up staying up to watch it. So freaking adorable. And then sad. Kurt, I feel you. Been there... not to the same extent of creepiness in terms of bullying but still.
So anyway, I stayed up until 3am, then slept in accordingly. Made myself scrambled eggs with cheese and avocado with breakfast, and I had to share that information because it was amazing. XD
I then decided to head over to uni to pick up an essay (music history) that had been marked, and ended up getting that back as well as my aural mark, and my composition assignment back. Essentially this is where the 'weird' comes in. I got a 50 for that essay. So, I passed. But barely. Saying I was a bit disappointed is an understatement - it's not often I am genuinely disappointed with a mark. Honestly, it's over 30 marks lower than the mark I got for the same essay assignment last semester for the same unit. And not to sound like I'm bragging here but it's 20 marks lower than my next lowest mark for a piece of writing all year. Apparently I missed the point, and described instead of analysing. I'm just confused, because I got it proof-read by a few different people and to everyone else I'd answered the question. (does this sound familiar, Janna?)
Inexplicably, I got a 65 for aural. Y'know, the exam that I honestly thought I'd failed. And I got full marks for the section on scales. XD I got a 66 for that composition thing too, which is amazing considering I spent a grand total of a half hour on that assignment...
I hate not being able to predict what I do well on though, I guess that's what is bugging me. *sigh* Oh well. A pass is a pass. I guess.
After that I bought a ticket to my old teacher's concert on Sunday (yay for going, boo for money vanishing...) and then decided I was bored and wanted to make brownies. I think my friends are going to love bored me ... I just bake. XD
They were so good.
Pebblegosling arrived then, and we headed off to play at my mum's choir concert. It was pretty straightforward, and went really well. It was so funny though, and proof that string players are simply awesome, that when the last song was 'Phantom of the Opera' we musicians sang along without having a rehearsal. And knew every word. WIN. I also kept cracking up because often pebblegosling and I would end up singing in octaves. Tehehehe.
After all of that, pebblegosling and I headed back here and watched many youtube clips of Darren Criss and other glee-related things, and then decided on a random movie from the selection Ame had given me. 'New York I Love You' has to be one of the most obscure, weird, and plotless/pointless movies I have ever seen. Seriously what the hell? After that we decided we needed fluff, and so watched 'Valentine's Day'. Second time for both of us. So cute! It made me feel much better that she hadn't guessed the twist the first time either, and she's usually much better than me at predicting those kind of things.
Bed was at 4am (because we're awesome) but I had to get up at 8 to take mum to the station (role reversal lol) and didn't really get much sleep after that. Which was annoying because I had until midday to sleep in. Sorry pebblegosling if I got snappy and grr-y at you, I honestly didn't mean to.
Later on I had work, and running back to my car in pouring rain, and finishing watching the Shakespeare Retold version of Much Ado About Nothing. I do love that play in general, and this version amuses me. I think that brings me up to now.
I bid thee farewell - I'll try to post more often!

WHY YES, yes that sounds familiar, I'm sure you DID answer the question. Teachers are ridiculous. Honestly, in the US, unless you like, write about something totally random like rabid seagulls instead of the topic, you'll never be graded down for 'not answering the question.' RIDICULOUSNESS. XD
But congrats on doing well on the other things!! ^^
I can't bake to save my life, heh XD I still have to try some of those gluten-free recipes that look easy but I'm a bit intimidated o_o MUST TRY!
I want to see Valentine's Day! I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet, it looks like a good chick flick :D

I'll try! XD
It's not a common occurrence for me I'll tell you that. Guh. No point in me trying to argue it though.. ah well. Just have to keep telling myself that a pass is all I need :P
Do it! I've cooked a few things from that website now and it is amazing. Ie those brownies. YUM.
It is. Think an even sappier Love Actually. Very entertaining.

My grades do the same thing, sometimes their really high and I'm uber happy and sometimes their low..I'm not really consistent I guess. :s I hope you can find out exactly what it is you did wrong so you can rectify it :)

Forget You was awesome.
I'm generally pretty consistent, so this threw me a bit. Ah well, at least I don't have to do the subject or anything like it next year.

I also got told I did significantly better than average on the listening test we had. Go figure ey
There was no plot. And it wasn't strung together at all. Didn't really like it... as you may have guessed.
OH MAN THAT THING IS HILARIOUS!!

Epic win, singing Phantom of the Opera ^^

I don't have to do it or theory next year! Yay double-degree restructuring :P
=D So epic!

Have you seen Paris, I Love You? I'm not sure if it's by the same people as New York, I Love You, but I enjoyed it a wee bit more. Might have to do with being a France hoe but still.
Yes, more posts would be appreciated! :p

I haven't. To be honest, the whole concept seemed too disjointed to me, and I probably won't go out of my way to watch the Paris one. I believe it is the same people, or at least the concept was actually taken from the Paris one. I may have appreciated it more if I knew a little more about it first.
=D
I'll do my best :P

Give me your brownies. Giiiiive them to meeeeee.... Omnomnom. =P

Ahahaha EPIC WIN. When you say "in octaves" you mean... exactly an octave above/below each other, right?

Either they must've been marking mega-hard or on LSD. I suspect the latter.
LOL
I just laughed so hard at that.
I haven't appealed, and I won't considering results come out on Friday and it isn't worth a significant portion of a grade. If it was I wouldn't be over it by now. XD
Um. They may, possibly, all have been eaten.
YES! Tis exactly what I meant! XD
