harpisan yesterday/today after 3 weeks! A long time for us...
Well, in essence, orchestra has been the main thing on this week - the concert was last night. I think it went pretty well, so that was good. My mum, harpisan and my grandparents seemed to enjoy themselves anyway, even if they could only see my arm every once in a while. Hehe. I do love the New World Symphony, even if the third movement is a b**** to play. We jump straight into rehearsals for the next concert on Tuesday - we're doing the Eroica. Please kill me. IT'S HARD, DAMN IT!!
I passed my orchestral assessment for the second time, thank goodness!
Moving on.
I met up with harpisan and her bf yesterday afternoon, after my last rehearsal. They are so freaking cute. Just putting that out there. *grins*
I spent a LOT of the time just laughing at them, for a few different reasons.
Exhibit A: They were talking about food, and he starts describing why he liked a particular restaurant. I just cracked up because it was exactly the way harpisan often does. Then she cracked up, because we have that 'mindless connection' going on and she'd just realised how weird it was XD
Exhibit B: Most of the time was spent with either harpisan and I talking in our own 'special' language (ie that of musos, me showing her my callouses etc) or those two doing a similar thing.
Exhibit C: They spent most of the time insulting each other... XD (good-naturedly of course)
Today we just hung out, after going to McDonald's to get hotcakes (because we could...) and studied. Or rather, tried to. I was in a really shitty mood, and I really don't know why. I've almost got my presentation organised at least now, which is good I guess. Still need to write out a whole heap of stuff though.
I should never doubt the power of Big Bang Theory. I wasn't even in the mood for that, but we watched a few episodes when we realised both of us had gone way past being productive. Sheldon on Valium could make anyone feel better I think. XD XD XD

And singing Tom Lehrer ... we were in hysterics by that point.
I had better get onto studying for my exam tomorrow (that I have to this point ignored, as it's theory and easy, but I should do something) but I will leave you with a couple of random things.
- I mentioned that I still hadn't met pebblegosling's bf, to which harpisan replied in a very offhand manner 'oh, I have' *pause* ... 'Wait, that's kind of weird.'
- I have new strings, which I need to put on tonight, as well as practice if my sore neck/shoulders will let me
- I felt really short yesterday.
