Tuesdays are going to kill me. I know this already, and I got to go home 3 hours earlier than I normally will... eek!
Basically, I have every subject today. Along with classes that clash, and running between the law (whyyy) building, the arts building and the music building every hour got really draining. Don't get me wrong, it's not that far, just when you're carrying a reasonably heavy bag and trying to shovel down some food at the same time it gets a little difficult.
The classes themselves: On the whole, not too bad. 'Understanding Asia' is pretty full on, especially seeing as I haven't done a proper history-based subject in a while. *cowers at essays* BUT I found someone to sit with, and such, so it's all good =)
Workshop: I'm really disappointed I have to miss half of it every week. All the string people seemed so nice - and I love just listening to other people play. As well as being critiqued by people who have a good understanding of the situation you're in - being students themselves. I'll just make the most of the time I'm actually in the class. After leaving that early, I ran off to my first Indonesian class. Pretty straightforward - just making sure we know how to use the cd-rom thing and such. The lecturer's pretty good too. Next was my Indonesian tute - intro games and description quizzes were all we did today XD. May I just say, our Bu Y is so CUTE. A few things made me laugh so much today. She's a native speaker with a pretty strong accent, and so bouncy and enthusiastic. It's contagious. Anyway, the first thing she did was get us to introduce ourselves. There was a guy named Sam, and she's just said in Indonesian 'oh, you don't like green eggs?'. This got a LOT of blank stares at first - as it's two words you usually don't hear in a sentence together.... and we probably wouldn't use 'egg' a lot anyway. I was one of the first to get it... then just started giggling. So funny. The other thing that was so funny was that someone said they liked to surf, and she added 'oh, you must be careful of Bruce then' ... I'm ashamed to say I didn't get the Nemo reference until she started pretending to *be* a shark... XD After the introductions, we had to pull a word out of a bag and describe it in partners. Most people got really obvious things like Prambanan and Kuta. El and I just looked at our word, and had utterly not clue what it was. So what to we get told to do? Make it up. According to us, 'Cabe' is a kind of big cat from Africa! Bu Y thought it was hilarious ... and rightly so, considering it actually means chilli.
THEN it was back to the music building (I actually had to run this time) and I attempted to stay awake and alert through the ethnomusicology lecture. It's a shame, as the subject actually interests me somewhat, but I was zoning out because the lecturer is so boring. >.< I'll have to fill myself with sugar I think...
On another, brighter, note - any doubt I had about my choice in career/uni degree has melted away. I'm so happy to be where I am, with such a great group of people.
Now, onto actual organisation and then study.

Oh, and by the way, that silly mood I was in last week has gone. Just like that. =D
