'There ain't no clouds in my sky'
Jun. 16th, 2010 01:00 pmTea and a Mars bar. A brilliant combination if I do say so myself.
I'm in a much better mood at the moment, than I have been for probably a week. My lesson was decent this morning - still have a hell of a lot of work to do in the next week though, my Indonesian oral is done (more on that later) and I need something like 20% on my exam tomorrow to pass the unit. Which is a very good thing, because I really don't know much at all. Plus I'm sitting here in totally bummy clothes and eating/drinking the aforementioned items.I also have skittles and doritos on standby
3 exams left - I CAN SEE THE LIGHT. XD
Then, onto my birthday party. Woot!
Anyway, I have to share this because it is epic. My Indonesian teacher, Bu Y, is hilarious. And she loves us. (ie Ame and I)
We were both so glad to get her, because we both just feel so much more relaxed - it just ended up being a conversation, and didn't feel like an exam at all. Which is kind of the point ...
It consisted of:
- Ame mentioning that she wanted to sleep. Bu Y then motioned for her to lie down on the table, and started singing an Indonesian lullaby
- We then started talking about uni in general, and what we liked and didn't like. Would have been fairly standard, except that we somehow ended up teasing Ame and saying that her family only pretends to miss her (she lives on res at uni) etc
- Somehow we got onto sports, particularly AFL and Soccer. Oh that's right, it was the reason Ame was tired - she'd been watching the World Cup. So funny, the conversation turned to how I was always threatened that I'd be kicked out of home if I didn't go for the Bulldogs =P
And then they ganged up on me to try and get me to change teams.
So amusing. <3 Bu Y.
And I think that's my break almost over. I must work today, I'm running out of time to put stuff off.
