And the randomness continues...
Today, I started off by being 20 minutes late to gamelan practical class, and then find out that our performance assessment is NEXT WEEK and not the week after as we had all thought. Everyone was struggling with the piece, I sure did pick a good one to play the timekeeper XD. So I'm not exactly stressing...
Two hours of break time spent with
snuggle_monster and
thalia03 which is always always always amusing. I also enlightened them as to the voice of Zazu - ie Rowan Atkinson. I love that neither of them knew that XD
Also, listening to snuggle_monster play guitar is <3
Then, it was Indonesian. First hour was meh, just correcting sentences that people had written, blah blah blah. The second hour, however, was rather awesome. I love this tutor too. Essentially, we talked about movies and theatre ALL lesson and it was what we were supposed to be doing. As long as it was in Indonesian (or at the very least Indolish :P) Then the group that was presenting had to do a play, and did 'a day in the life of a monash student' It was hilarious, especially as M says to me about the guy participating 'yeah that wasn't so creative, that's pretty much what he does' XD XD XD
A question: Who would play me in a movie of my life? This is what we had to answer today and I had no answer...
AND THEN
I went and saw Mary Poppins. So freaking good!! I got all nostalgic...
I especially loved Matt Lee as Burt. Had the impish, mischievous attitude down pat, and a really great voice as well as the more well-known dancing ability. =D
I quite liked the additions/changes/expansions of the film too. Except for the whole toys-coming-to-life bit. That was just plain creepy.
*is still humming step in time*
Bedtime for me I think.
Goodnight

Date: 2010-10-08 12:05 am (UTC)Plays need to be cheaper. How much are tickets over there usually? Here they can go from $30 to a whole lot more, I'm sure. Being cultured is expensive. -_-

Date: 2010-10-08 12:12 am (UTC)The show last night was $110 per person xD
Luckily it was a birthday present for mum, and so dad paid :P
That's pretty standard for professional musicals, plays are generally half of that.
For Classical concerts, anything up to that price for the top orchestras etc - but you can often get student or concession discounts.
Oh, and the pop (I use that word very generally) concerts I've been to this year are relatively 'small' artists - ranging from Washington's at $20 to Regina Spektor at $90. The huge pop divas etc ask FROM that much as the base price.
