I SAW HARPISAN I SAW HARPISAN I SAW HARPISAN I SAW HARPISAN!!!

Ahem. Actual update starts now.
I have spent the past few days with Ame, who I had not seen in far too long. I stayed at her place, spent time with her parents while she was at work (LOL - they were absolutely lovely) we watched a grand total of 12 episodes of Glee (impressive, yes??) as well as Candy (great movie, but so so sad) and 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. Obligatory tag team msn-ing of pebblegosling while watching Glee, and watching Ame fawn over Sam ... Personally I don't see the attraction.
Eternal Sunshine broke my brain. I ended up staying up later than Ame last night to distract myself or I would have had some damn confusing dreams.... I think I liked it, but judgment will need to wait until I've seen it a couple more times XD

I also managed to guilt Ame (unintentionally I swear it) into following me on my low-carb diet thingy. By the time the weather actually warms up, we are going to be bikini ready. Yep.

So that brings me to today. I drove home from Ame's, and then headed into the city to meet up with harpisan. She had ditched her brother in a magazine shop and we grabbed coffee, chatted, exchanged presents, looked longingly at teapots and I even got some Christmas shopping done. She gave me one of the Oxfam donation cards - it was so cute. I quote 'I was going to get you a book, but you already have one. Here's a duck instead'. I cracked up. Apparently there is something else coming my way too, but I have no clue what yet. *excited*
It was also really awesome that when we went back to our old cafe for coffee that the manager said when he walked back in 'you two! haven't seen you in a while, how are you?' We were grinning like lunatics, because most of the staff who had known us had moved on. Ahh the simple things.

Then, after we started heading back to the station to go home we had one of the most epic muso moments of my life. That's a big call.
harpisan hummed about 2 bars of a song, and I absentmindedly carried on where she left off. Normal for us, except she had hummed it completely under her breath - I hadn't even consciously heard her. I hummed my phrase, stopped, and asked her what she was singing. We laughed so hard when we realised what we'd done. Neither of us even knew many of the words of the song. Literally just the fragment of melody. Naturally, I've had the song in my head since.

<3 Crowded House. (yep, this song)
That's why I tell you, you'd better be home soon.
