'I Feel It All'

So I've been away at the beach for the past 5 days with
snuggle_monster , not that we swam at all - seriously Melbourne, where is Summer?!
It was really great to just talk, watch movies, and just chill. Although we really need to learn not to stay up until 4am (or 6am) every single night. It was kind of ridiculous.
I'm not sure I said it, but just having someone who understands me so well means more to me than I can ever say. I love that we can (and do) talk about anything and everything. From making wildly hilarious sexual innuendo-filled calls (yes, some of those were me... goodness) to talking in detail about something I have never really been ready to. <3
I was also inspired to start writing bits and pieces again - I might post them here in time.
Tonight, I went to the movies with harpisan to see 127 Hours. It was really really well done, but the subject matter was intense. It's about Aron Ralston, the climber/canyoneer who got his arm trapped beneath a boulder and was stuck for five days and lived. I have never had such an intense physical reaction to a movie before in my life. I was shaking afterwards, and was gagging for about 10 minutes straight at the most crucial point of the story. I don't deal well with gore. Usually, my mantra of 'it's just a story it's just a story' helps - but not so much when it's based on a real life event.
To counteract that, I came home and watched Glee. The superbowl episode was so good! Loved that they actually had character development with Karofsky, nice to see they aren't just going to ignore him. Yes. Thriller-zombie themed half-time show? HELLS YES!
But more importantly, the Valentine's Ep is now my favourite. It was too freaking cute. All of it. But especially the Klaine. My thoughts throughout the Gap scene.
When Kurt's all 'Man up, you're amazing'... <-- that's the sound of his heart breaking.
When Jeremiah shoots Blaine down <-- andddd there goes Blaine's. BUT there is hope, Kurt confessing that he thought Blaine was going to sing to him... naww. <3
I want to watch it again already.
Speaking of Glee, I went on an epic fb comment-flail with one of snuggle_monster's friends - my new lj friend
sine_animo . We have decided we are Glee soulmates, and apparently we are freakishly alike. I must meet her and soon, damn it!
As an example, have a picture I laughed indecently at.

Here ends a sporadic update of my life. Meme post to come, as well as catching up on all of your posts!

Date: 2011-02-10 08:30 pm (UTC)I remember a post on ohnotheydidnt hear about people having a similar reaction to yours during that movie. I think I'd read so much of it that I was "prepared" and it didn't get to met as much. James Franco was very good in it.

Date: 2011-02-10 11:37 pm (UTC)He was great. I mean, the reason it affected me so much was that it was entirely believable.
Yeah, see I wasn't. We struggled to find a movie that we both wanted to see/hadn't seen already - so when she suggested it I didn't realise it was that movie until I got there. So zero mental preparation time.

Date: 2011-02-10 09:55 pm (UTC)And good that you seem to be spending more time with Harpisan. :)
*cringes* Yeah. Not going to see 127 Hours, thanks. I don't deal well with suspense - I'll watch it on DVD where I can fastforward if it gets too much.

Date: 2011-02-10 09:58 pm (UTC)Aaaaaaahhhhh come and take some of our summer, PLEASE. We've been dying over here. It's been better the last few days, but last week was hellish.

Date: 2011-02-11 12:26 am (UTC)I don't want to see that movie - I heard about what he went through and I'd really rather not see graphic depictions of what he went through, LOL. XD
