So, my recital was today - and oddly enough I was excited rather than nervous. A good sign, considering the line of work I wish to enter. I think I did pretty well, apart from the one major memory blank. In Bach. AGAIN. I'm starting to think I'm jinxed. It was one bar that I just simply couldn't play. I knew the next bit, and I could sing it in my head, but my fingers just wouldn't play it. I'm so glad my teacher was there, I just froze, and she just said to get my music. Ah well. I did my best not to let it phase me, and as soon as I started the Schubert sonata I knew I was fine. Still a little shaken by it, and I nearly chickened out of doing the Legende by memory, but I recovered. Apparently, that was the best I've ever played the Legende. AWESOME.
So I'm happy, and relaxed, and not studying for Aural. It goes against the grain, but honestly I can't be bothered - and I only need to pass to keep my average up.

The other thing we were getting a good laugh out of was a facebook group I found the other day. 'Pop songs are best represented by graphs'. I find quite a few of them absolutely hilarious - I guess it's because the science/maths and music parts of my brain just mesh together for these. My personal favourite is this one. Mainly because it's in the form of an actual graph I would have been asked to draw in Physics.

On that note, I am off. To do nothing. *grins*
